Victoria Deeks is a nurse practitioner at VIVA! GYN in Bend, Oregon. Ms. Deeks has 25+ years of experience in internal medicine as a primary care provider. With many years of experience managing the perimenopausal and menopausal stages of a woman's life, she is able to offer care that many women struggle to find within traditional healthcare systems. She continues to offer comprehensive healthcare, ranging from basic annual exams and lab testing to treatment of acute illnesses and chronic conditions. Ms. Deeks focuses on the whole person, encompassing the spiritual, mental, and physical aspects of wellness that impact overall well-being. Combining functional medicine with traditional Western medicine allows for more diversity and personalization as she collaborates with her patients to develop individualized healthcare plans that enable them to achieve their personal health and wellbeing goals.
From 2019 to 2024, Ms. Deeks served as a nurse practitioner at One Peak Medical Clinic in Roseburg, Oregon, and later at the clinic's location in Redmond, Oregon. She was a primary care provider for adolescents through geriatrics. With a well-established foundation in traditional Western medicine, she incorporated functional medicine, providing more options and flexibility to build a comprehensive, overall healthy lifestyle. Common health conditions included depression, anxiety, weight management, insomnia, hypertension, thyroid issues, etc.
From 2000 to 2018, Ms. Deeks served as a nurse practitioner at Kaiser Permanente in Clackamas, Oregon. She worked at a large-volume clinic, where she conducted annual exams and managed medication ordering and administration. Emphasizing a preventive approach, she also oversaw imaging and other laboratory results to determine the optimal course of action to move forward.
In 2009, Ms. Deeks opened Central Oregon Hypnotherapy, now located in Bend, Oregon. Deeks believes that within every individual lies core strengths and resources for a full life. At times, these can be blocked or inhibited. Through hypnotherapy, she enables individuals to connect to this core and address a breadth of personal issues or stressors, such as anxiety and insomnia. She is also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
